Washington, Oct. 20.—Amen

This decision was reached to-I

for a new battalion of marines to
go to the isthmus about November
15 to relieve the battalion which j
has been there for a year. The
new battalion will be commanded
by Lieut. Colonel Thomas N.
Wood. The exact number of men
in this new battalion has not been
decided on but it on bably will be
of about the same size as the bat

While the Panama government is
entirely loyal it seems tiiat there
are certain disgrunted elements in
in the isthmus and, in view of the
cease with which revolutions are
stared in Central and South Am¬
erica, it is the official opinion here
that the marines should remain
for the present.

Better than Pills
The question has been asked—
In what way are Chatnherlain’s
Stomach and Liver Tablets super¬
ior to the ordinary catartic and
liver pills? Our answer is—They
are easier and more pleasant to
take and their effect is so agreea
ble that one hardly realizes that it
is produced by a medicine. Then
