Death of Mrs. Annie Woodruff
Cooley.
News of the death of Mrs. Annie
Woodruff Cooley, which occurred
at the home of her husband, Prof.
Jas. P. Cooley, at Oak Hill, at 7730
Wednesday evening, was received
here with profound sorrow. Mrs.
Cooley was a most estimable young
woman, and her death—besides
being a terrible shock to her im¬
mediate family and n-Iativea—will
be learned with genuine regret by
her numerous frieuds in different
sections of the State. Her mother,
who was visiting another daughter,
Mrs. J. C. Brooks at Broxton, Ga.,
was telegraphed the shocking and
sorrowful intelligence of the unex¬
pected death, and arrived at her
home in time to attend the funeral
and burial.
This death is a peculiarly sad
one to Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff,
Mr. Woodruff having recently sus¬
tained the loss of his mother.
They have the sympathy of a host
of friends here and elsewhere.
