Companies in 1871 was 605,092; of this number the Singer Manufacturing
Company sold 181,260 SINGER MACHINES. One-third of all the Machines
sold in the United States are Singer’s. Ninety-five per cent, of the machine*
sold in Chicago since the great fire are SINGER’S.
