THE gardes op the dead.
[Written on the occasion of the ladies visiting the
Confederate graves at Laurel Grove Cemetery, in Sa
vannah.]
East in peace, devoted dead,
As fondly o’er your narrow bed
Loved ones are weaving fairy bowers.
Speaking to you in the language of flowers.
The dews that fallfrom beauty's eyes,
' The wealth of love in heartfelt sighs.
Should keep the blossoms fresh and fair
Upon those graves so doubly dear.
It on the gale their fragrance dies.
And the sweet incense reach the skies,
Oh 1 bless ye angels from above
These tokens of devoted love 1
And like the Peri at Heaven’s gate,
Patient at its portals wait,
And to the Throne our loved ones bear
With the sweet magic of a Tear. A. ^•

Congress Spring Water.
Empire Spring Water.
Columbian Spring Water.
No natural or artificial compound has yet been dis
covered or manufactured that equals these waters as
a preventive, relief and permanent cure, for many
temporary and chronic diseases, as proved by the cx
perience of many thoasahds who have drank them
for years, with the most beneficial effects.
CONGRESS WATER
is a cathartic, alterative and tonic, and is a valua
ble remedy for affections of tho liver and kidneys,
dyspepsia, gout, chronic constipation aud entaneous
diseases. Is a most powerful preventive of the
fevers and bilious complaints so prevalent in warm
climates.
EMPIRE WATER
Is a cathartic, and a valuable remedv for rheuma
tism, derangement of the liver, diseases of the skin,
and general debility. Its effects are most salutary in
lung diseases. It is an almost sure cure for scrofula,
and tbe most aggravated forms of dyspepsia. As a
preventive and cure for ail hlliou* derangements't
stands unrivalled.
COLUMBIAN WATER
Is a tonic anTl diuretic of a highly ■beneficial char

calculus, irritation and inflammation of the kidneys
and bladder, and has most singularly active effects
in restoring these organs when debilitated by long

irrcgnlarity, anti tho distressing diseases known only
to their sex, have been entirely cured by the faithful
and jndlcions use of Columbian Water.
These waters are bottled fresh and pur., from each
of the above named springs, in so careful and secure
a manner that they preserve alt their medicinal value
for years, and will be found equally efficacious when’
drank thousands of miles distant as when taken di
rectly from the spring. *
