The oelebrotlon of the one hundred and elite,-nth

day. was, ;n many respects, one of the most successful
occssltis cf tbe kind which has been enjoyed by our
oit jets for years. A throng of people, young aud old,
assembled at the Central Railroad depot at an early
hoar, e-s'eteen car loads of whom were soon on their
W-,V to Marlow, the excursion train being under the
cbarijo oi the veteran and-ever trusty conductor, Mr
Oscm■ Chariton. Arrived at Marlow, the excursionists
fi;.-passed to enjoy the rural delights of the beautiful
spot after the fashion of pic-nicers, until they were
rsoa.ied to assemble 3t the stand which had been
e-erted under th* broad spreading limbs of a nobis old
oak. The proceedings were opened With prayer by
tie Rev. Mr. McRae.
