Fusxaai, Obsequies.—Tea funeral of Alexander W.
Willink, who was killed by a fall from a crane at Mil
ler's foundry cn Monday, took place yesterday (Tom
the house of his brother, Mr. H. F. Willink, Jr. t
whither he had been carried after tbe fatal accident

friends of the family, and a delegation from tbs
Ogiethorps Fire Company oi whloh he was a mem
ber, and the workmen of Miller's foundry In a body
were also present. After the services at the house the
remains were escorted to the grave by the Ogle-
thorpes. In uniform, preceded by music, and by his
late follow-workmen. The hearse was followed by a
long line of carriages, and the services at the ceme
tery were very touching and impreBsiva.

established. Sales 95,000 bushels. Western mixed at
77a83c. Western yellow at 83c. Oats were held higher
but were quiet without any advance. Sales 40,030
bushels, including Canadian at 60*6lc, Western at 49a
61c. State at 6TO65c, Jersey and Southern at 57a58c.
PROvisiosa.—Pork was higher and somewhat ex
cited. Sales 13,000 bbls, at $29 50 for old mem.
$$11214*31 50 for new mess. $2G for prfme, $27 SO
for prime mess. Lard waa dull and heavy. Sales 600
bbls and tes, at 19>.a29' 4 c for No 1, 20J«a21)4c for
fair to prime steam, 21 >,a22c for kettle rendered, and
22 Qcfor retail lots. Cut meats were active and very
firm, at 19 'fa 13c for dry salted and pickled shoulder^

was firm, with sales of 250 boxes Cumberland to ar
rive at 14k'c. Beef waa in brisk demand, tending up
wards. Sales 860 bbls, at $17a21 50 for repacked
Western mess, and $22a25 for extra do. Tierce beef
firm but quiet. Beef hams scarce, and bring $42a43.
Butter waa dull and heavy,-at 32a46c for Western and
Ohio, and 38a44c for State. Cheese waa dull and nomi
nal.
Comte.—The market is without quotable change,
and no important transactions are reported. Sales 790
bags Java, on private terms. ,
Gunny Cloth.—The speculative demand last noted
continues, with 2,000 a 3,000 bales at 21Qc, gold,
to arrive, and some on the spot at 26j^ a 27c, cur
rency.
Hay.—There is a good shipping demand, at 65o $1
100 lbs. Retail lota bring 85a90c.
Molasbks.—Steady. Sales 60 bhds Cuba at 60c. and
a cargo of Porto Rico at Tic. ,
Sugar.—The demand is but moderate, and under
the late Havana news prices are weak at lOalOQo for
fair to good refining, and 10’iall'»c for tele to good
grocery. Salea 625 hhda, at lOQal'J.V for .Cub* and
11 Sal o for Porto Rid, Also 610 boxes Havana at

Proceedings Quashed.—The case of Dr. B. W.
Hardee, who was charged with “felony, in selling
poisonous drug," with which, it will be remembered,
suicide was offected by a woman in a house of ill-fame
recently, came up yesterday before Judge Fleming, of
the Superior Court. Upon a representation of facta,
Judge Fleming at once quashed the case before it had
reached tho Grand Jury. By his order an exonaretur
was entered in favor of Dr. Hardee as follows:

State of Georgia vs. B. W. Hardee—Felony in selling
poisonous drugs to a free person of color.
The Court having decided that there is no such of
fence known to the laws of Georgia aa la charged
against the defendant, ordered that the exonaretur be
entered upon the bond of the defendant, and that he
be discharged and go without a day.

man, stated that he had a load of lumber on his
wagon, and that the policeman jumped upon It to

driver puahed him off. The policeman then caught

a scuttle ensued between him and the driver, during

go away, but he paid no attention to him. This wit

caps on his pistol while he had it drawn, but the muz

charged with stealing cotton, was arrested and taken
before Justice Staley yesterday, who committed him
to jail to await an examination.

A member of the Gold Exahange calls our attention
to the fact that the price of gold one year ago to-day,
at 11 o'clock, was 129?;, and to-day, at the same hoar
