Anderson, yesterday, waa the centtnned case of S. 0.
Morgan (colored), charged with attempting to rob the
premises o'f a negro man when he was at a neighbor’s
bouse ’’sitting up.’’ The only facts proved against
Morgan by the witnesses were, that he attended the
"sitting up,” and did not act like the other folks, as he
left the house and was shortly arterwards discovered
in the corn houae, which witnesses thought looked
very suspicions, and therefore had him arrested. Mor
gan stated that he attended the "sitting np," and had
just stepped out in the yard to cool off, when the
owner of the house came out and collared him, charg
ing him at the same time with attempting to steal,
which offence he had no intention of committing. The
charge not having been proved against Morgan, he
was discharged, and the Informer ordered to pay costa
of tho Court.
The aecondcaae was also one continued from Tues

real cause of all the disturbance. Mrs. Murphy, not
appearing with her witnesses, was fined $6, and to be
confined at the barracks In defsult of payment. Mor
phy waa discharged.

dinance, they being strangers In the city. They were
both charged three dollars apiece for Information on

trary to the rules and regulations of the Company, waa

Messrs. Barrett A Co :
I was induced to give your Hair preparation a trial,
and can heartily recommend It as unequalled as a
Dressing. Purifier and Restorer,—giving to the Hair
a luxuriant richness, and to the head a cool and
must agreeable sensation, while It la thorough In re-

Messrs. J. R Barrett A Co ;
I was induced by a friend to make a trial of Bar
rett’s Vegetable Hair Restorative, and I am very
much pleased with the effect it has had on my hair,
t was nearly half gray, and now, before using one
bottle, my head is freed from dandruff, znd my hair
has all the appearance of youth. I rally believe Bar-
