Under the general head cf Dvsnepsia may he classec I
all the varieties of im' -es ion. Pa syrepfoms art I
so various, end d’Cer so much iu d ie.wt inJvn’nai,
thatit is almost impose 1 -to to clasairy them. In fact,
some of them arc n *-:ly ’udescriba js. It may be
aafe’y averted, however, that half the ili^ascs ol
mankind spring from a d'-o r d ,r eil com” ion of tbe
stomach: and that the othe.; Iia’', tvbn’ever ti’er |
origin, react upon that sensitive and im*r.-ar:or
gan. Among the ordinary indications or Dy?p?psii
are flatulence, a bleated ami lull feeling alj-mt He
stomach and abdomen immediately after eating.a
gnawing sensation or a sense of liollo.rness at tie
pit of the stomach between meals, a heavy dull feel
ing in the bead, feeble or unsteady appetite, occa
sional nansea, restlessness during night and a veer,
unrefreshed feeling on rising in the morning, palps
tion of the heart, depression of mind, sometimes
amounting -to monomania, loss of memory, confu
sion of thqpgh’, sour stomach, with raising of foot
aud a choking sensatiou *in the throat, dlmnea of
eye, pain in the diaphragm, feebleness and disincli
nation for exertion, and sometimes emaciation and ■ I
corpse-like pallor. These are a • few of the direct I
signs of Dyspepsia, but as it is genera’iy compifcstrf
with specific affections of the bow,-Is, the liver and I
the terves, its victims have many additional tonneau |
which are technically attributed to other causes.
The best advice that ern be given to any onevho
has the slightest predispoeltion to Dyspepsia, is tote-'
Biy his or her digestive organs by the daily use of
Hosteller's Bitters.
-The disease proceeds from a lack of vigor In I
Btomaok, and this vitalizing preparation will foot I
and renovate that organ. If the gastric-appanmsi! I
fa good working order, and can perfcrtly dissolve I
and thoroughly assimilate the food submitte) to ia I
operation, there will be no Dyspepsia. If it cant* I
do this, it requires reinforcement, and the best of ai! I
reinforcing agents should be forthwith resorted to I
The stomach is the commissariat of the system. 11
applies the elements of life to the whole iwdJ. ■“ I
it is prepared the material of blood, mosete W” s l
and fibre, and if it fails to purvey thit®«erial ml
quantity, and of aproper kiud, the whole bofij
fers, and with it the menial faculties. ThereforeF I
tect the commissariat department. Don’t let u_-1
emy obtain possession of it. It is eas’er to pre* I
disease Rom getting into an organ than to eipt: I
after it becomes a chronic flxtuTe. Consider^ J
first indication of uneasiness in the etomset I
sign that Dyspepsia is preparing to attack, andl'^-
It at once with the GREAT REPELLAXT. I
But !f it is foo late to prevent, remember toe I
not too late to cure. It is believed that tliere “ I
