Cotton.—The market opened with a pretty fair de
mand for New York middlings, at 32c., which con
tinued until the receipt ot noon dispatches, quoting
the New York markot at 39c., dull Phis newa had
the effect of ohecking tho inquiry, and the market
closed dull. There is no disposition now, on the pan
of holders, to press the market, the immediate wants
of the planters having been satisfied.
