will be held in the Mssonlo Hall at eight o’clock. for
the purpose of ratifying the nomlnatlona of thailate
Democratic Convention for President end Yioe-Pt»al-
dent of the United States; also, tor the purpoee of ap
pointing delegates to the Mass Meeting of the De
mocracy of Georgia, to be held on the 23d Instant, at
Atlanta, and to the Convention, for the purpose of
selecting a Presidential Electoral ticket. After thia
business is attended to the audience will be adjourned
to the Court House square, where prominent epeak-
ers will deliver addresses. While the meeting is be
ing held at the Masonic Hall, the procession will be

A Husband Splits His Wife’s Head
Open with an Axe.—About ten o’clock on Saturday
night last a negro man, living In the neighborhood
