as has been previously mentioned, be afforded to thosc
who subscribo for that paper exclusively, at the low

publication of a similar character in the United States

Gentlemxn,—The gratuitous offer of your exccl-

from your si:k and suffering friend with a cordial
reception: tie plates alone, at the .close of a year,
would bo worth the trilling expense of the subscrip
tion ; those Representing the Capitol, at Harrisburg,
Pa. and the Falls of tho Passaic, N. J. are hand-
flomely executed, and add intrinsic value to the work;
il truth, I am free to say, that there is not within
the compass 6f my knowledge, a work of the kind so
well calculated to cheer the oppressed and languid

who can be pleased at all. Perhaps, some folks may
think me over-earnest in this matter, and that I am
only paying you, gentlemen, an idle compliment for
the gift of the paper—but it is not true; I speak with
sincerity—not doubting but its subscribers will
readily allow that my remarks are just.—I am, gen

W-F to the Court, that William Edmonson, on the
29 th of January, 1824, made his certain Mortgage of
that date,to your applicant, whereby to secure to
him the sum of One Hundred Dollars, on or before
the 29th of July, 1321, he, the said William, Mortgag
ed to your applicant the following described Tract of
Land, to wit: lying and being in the County of Jack-
son and State of Georgia, containing one hundred
one and one half acres, being half of a grant made to
Elisha Lake of two hundred and three acres, the
half butting and bounding as follows: beginning on
a white oak corner, on the branch on Jonathan
Smith’s line, running north cast to a pine corner on
said Smith’s line, thence South to a white oak cor
ner on tho branch on John Smith’s line, thence South
west toapostoak corner on said Smith’s line, thence
on Burgin’s line, to the beginning corner. And that
there is due on said Mortgage the sum of One. Hun-
dred Dollars with interest from jjie 29th of July,
1824; and praying the foreclosure of ’ the Equity of
Redemption of, in and to said Mortgaged jlrenrses.—r

O N the Petition of Samuel Cone, shewing that
William Harrold,lateof said county, deceased,
did, on the 7th day of July, 1823, make and execute
his certain Bond in writing, whereby he, the said
William, contracted and bound himself to make titles
to Laban P. Poole, for Lot No. 104, in the Fifth Dis
trict of originally Henry, now Fayette county, which
said land was, on the 20th July 1325, assigned by
the said Laban P. Poole to the said Samuel, (a copy
of which is filed in the Clerk’s office, annexed to Uie
petition of the said Samuel,) and the said Samuel
having prayed that the administratrix of said de
ceased .may be directed to execute titles fothe said
Samuel^ in-terms of said ' contract. It is ordered
that this notice be published in one of the public
Gazettes of this State, once a month for three
months, and in the public places of this county; and
unless cause to the contrary be shewn at the next
Term of this court after said publication, the admi
nistratrix will be directed to execute titles to the
said Samuel, agreeable to said contract.—A true ex

O N the petition of Benjamin Higgins,shewing that
Asa Moore, dec’d. heretofore m his life time,
did, on tho 29th day of April, 1822, make and exe
cute his certain Bond in writing, in the penalty of
One Hundred Dollars, conditioned to make fee sim
ple titles to the said Beqjamin, his heirs and assings,
on or before the 25th day of December, 1823, for a
certain parcel of Land, supposed to be Forty-five
Acres, more or less, part of Lot No. 245, in the 5th
District of Gwinnett, (a copy of which Bond is an
nexed to. said petition, and filed in the Clerk’s Office)
and has prayed this Court to compel the Administra
tor of said deceased to execute to him a fee simple
title to Said parcel of Land according to the tenor of
