tho 4th of July celebration, Mr. T.
M. Paco presiding. On motion, S. M
H. Byrd, Ivy E. Thompson aud W.
F. Turner wero appointed a commit-

render, statician, ole. Afterwards
Major Blanco and C. Pbilpot woro
added to said committee. Tho com
mittee reported for orator Col. M. M.
Tidwell; roador, Rov. J. E. Jones; al
ternate, J. 8. Stubbs, and suggested
ten o'clock, a. m., as tho time for tho
commencement of tho speaking, and
that a committee of fifteen bo ap
pointed, live from this and two from
each of tho other districts in tho
county, to arrange for tho occasion.
