Moody.
Dr. Travis went to Augusta last Sun.

who is now on a short visit to that city.
The Doctor expressed himself as being
disappointed; that Mr. Moody is not
the man he expected to see, etc. But
after interviewing the doctor a little
further and questioning him a little
eloser we find he was considerably
pleased with the great evangelist. Pie

CHARLES AND EIIMUNP KELLY' IN AT
LANTA.
: 1
Charles and Edmund Kelly were
brought to this city yesterday in irons
and were at the station house last night.
Edmund,. was carried last night to Jack
son county for tiial, and Charles will be
turned over tc ;the chain gang frpm
which he escaped. Edmund Kelly states
that'his crowd did not fire at all. He
ran away from Charles and Busby when
they were attacked by 25 or 30 men.
lie was pursued by about forty and shot
in the back. Bugby, escaped.
Charles wa3 wounded in the neck,
stomach, thign, and in both hands. One
shot struck him in the stomach and a!
most passed through him. He was
struck by thirty buckshot and bears
wounds in numerous places. Ho talks
cheerfully enough, and says that he will
escape again if he can.— Constitution.
Personal
Capt. Billie Huson did not attend the
fishing party last Monday at the Paper
Mjjl. He said he fe It too bad. Billy
must have recyoyered mighty soon, for
we heard of him being at Tom Tread
well’s “courting pary” the night of the
same day.
The “ copning party” that came off at
friend Treadwell’s Monday .eve, was a
huge success in its Hue. Courting there
was dune up brown. A dashing wid
ower and a charming widow led the van.
It lasted as usual till the wee sma,
and as a consequence, mine host Tom
got rather sleepy.
~ —ri —rr-v.
The young ladies and gentlemen that
composed the crowd that had the
fishing party at the Paper Mill on last
Monday must have, had affile time. We
venture to say as much if they didn't get
caught ought in the rain, and that
wouldn’t hurt them much, for young
ducks never mind the water—getting
wet don’t hurt them—we hope not—
anyhow, we Lope they bad a royal time
of it,

the first Railroad train. After inspect

A Cup of GOOD TEA.
A noted English Traveler says, much finer
Tea is drank in ltussia than in England. The
difference is not probably owing to the overland
