Adjusting Differences.
The late convention of stock breed
ers of Iowa adopted the following
rules to regulate differences arising
between buyers and sellers:
1. In case an animal is sold as a
breeder, or as having been bred, and
should afterwards prove to have been
barren at the time of sale, the pur*
chaser may return the barren animal,
and still therefore receive another of
equal value.
2. Iu the cases where material mis
takes which affect the value of the
animal are found in the pedigree of
an animal, not known at the time of
sale, the purchaser may return the

pens, however, that cattle do become
very dirty about the body—whether
from neglect or a natural predisposi
tion to get dirty, it is unnecessary to
consider. In such cases a good rem
edy is to apply to the affected parts a
• mixture of fish oil and flour of sul
phur to a quart of oil. This mixtbre
should bo vigorously rubbed into the
body, and about thirty days after
this has been done J the affected parts
must receive a good washing with
soft soap and warm water. The oil
and sulphur may be applied once
more in, the same manner as before,
the mixture being made a . little
stronger should there be an observa
ble improvement from the first wash
ing. This- mixture applied twice
generally saffices to effect a complete
cure gf the ailment
