Allen & Crawford’s warehouse, in
Ihe new Webster building was de
stroyed by fire last Wednesday morn*
ing. There was in the warehouse,
I. bales of cotton; 100 tons of
guano; a large lot of bagging and
ties and a wagon. The loss ia
estimated at $60,300. Too insur
ance companies have a good large
share of it to pay,but the loss to pro
vate parties is heavy.

MISS LOU WADSWORTH DEAD.
Tazewell. Ga., Feb. 15:h, 1881.
Mr, Editor: —Miss Lou, daughter
of Mr. William Wadsworth, died on
Tuesday, of last week, ller remains
was buried in the cemetery at laze
well Thursday. She hud been sick
about four months.
Miss Lou was born in 1856, and
was always a dutiful and affectionate
daughter. She joined tbo church in
August 1870, and lived consistent
with it* requirement till her death.
