The Georgia Sunday School Association is a co-operative efforts of all denominations for more and better Sunday Schools, and is the only oigani- zation in the State which aims to help every Sunday School. The work is by way of suggestion, not by authority, therefore it helps many, it hinders none. 2. The Association is managed by an Executive Committee of 53 Chris tian business men. Denominationally they are as follows: 19 Medthodists, 18 Baptists, 9 Presbyterians, 4 Christians, 2 Episcopalians, 1 Lutheran. 3. The Association sells nothing, but is supported by contributions. Its workers go into every county in the State annually and furnish free on re quest hundreds of thousands of pages of printed matter on the best meth ods of Sunday School work. 4. The Taylor County Sunday School Association is one of the integral parts of the Georgia Sunday School Association. The meeting indicated by this program is an interdenominational meeting, and every worker in ev ery white Sundav School in Taylor county is urgently requested to attend. M. A. S., either in the army or navy. This is for the purpose of publishing every week their names and addres that friends may occasionally write to them or mail them papers or packages, as many have expressed a desire so to do. If you have a son, brother, relative or friend, or know of a former Taylor county citizen, in any branch of the army service, fill out the blank below and mail at once to the Herald. PIVE POINTS Miss Inez Jarrell was the guest of her cousin, Miss Effie Smith for several days this week Jarrell and Luther Wilkins, of Eastman, are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Jarrell. Mr. F. S. Holmes spent several daysin Macon this week. Miss Mellie Shumate and Miss Mary Lou Gassett, who have beenat Fort Valley for several daysretumed home Tuesday. Miss Inez Jarrell entertained quite a numer of the “younger Set” Saturday night. Miss Jar rell is an ideal hostess and her hospitality on this occasion was enjoyed by all present. The many frieuds of Private W. M. Smith, formerly of this community, but now stationed at Camp Gordon, Ga., will be sor ry to learn of hih recent eye troubles, from which he has bene suffering very much for several days. Mrs. J. W. Boggs, of Pratts- burg, is with her sister, Mrh. G. B. Jarrell, who has been serious ly ill for several days. Mr. and Mrs..S. J. Jarrell, of Macon, were the guests of rela tives herefor the week-end. T. S. Harris and Ralph Jarrell attended hervices at Horeb Sun day. There will be no services at Antioch Sunday June 16th on account ofthe Sunday School convention at Howard on that day, when all officers and teach- ersers are expected to attend. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Williams and daughter, of Howard, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. P. Riley. A very pleasant family reun ion occurred at the delightful home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Jai’- rell Sunday. There were pres ent twenty-five children and grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Jarrell, both of whom have been quite sick are improving. A tenat house on the farm of Mr. A. T. Mr. J. H. Dulap, of Midway, attendeded Sunday School at Turner’s Chapel 4 last Sunday afternoon. Mr. Lamar Posey spent last Sunday p. m. with his best lady friend. We regret to say that little James Emerson is in critical con- bition by illness. Mr. J. H. Dunlap and family spent lah,t Sunday as the guests of Mr. E. J. Wainwright and family. Mr. S. H. Moore, of near here, and daughter, Lula, spent Tues day night and Wednesday as the guests of Mrs. L. L. Dickerson, in Macon county. After spend ing the week-end pleasantly they returned home Sunday by way of Panhandle. Mr. Ira Rodgers was the re cent vihitor to his friend, Mr. Alfonso Macon. ' Mr. Simon visited his lady friend last Sunday. Mrs. B. H. Spillers visited her mother, Mrs. F. E. McCrary re cently. Mrs. Lokie Rodgers and dau ghter,, Reginald, spent Sunday as the guesth of Mrs. R. A. Spil lers. Mrs. N. A. Mathews Died May 21, 1918. The. death angel visited the home of Mrs. Mathews and took from them their loving mother. Weep not dear children for moth er is at rest, she is called to that happy home where there is no pain or sorrow. Oh how hard it is to give up one of our loved ones in death. Oh, how hard it is to look on their dear face for the last time. Mrs. Mathews was a true Christian woman, member of the Free Will Baptist church of Potter- ville; laid to rest in the Potterville cemetery Wednesday afternoon, burial services conducted by Rev. C. H.
