The Ordinary receipts of the County for the year, were $61,-
s contrasted with Ordinary expenditures or expenses of $32-
ius showing a net gain of $18,843.41. The. net, gain for the
: year was $18,798.39. The excess of Current Assets over Cur
abilities is $17,155.23, whereas, for the year ended December 81,
> tliere was a deficit in current assets of $63536.
All warrants, Jury Script Court Orders and other items paid
by the Tax Collector and the County Treasurer, have been cancelled and
•hWnpd over to the Clerk of the Commissioners.
i The present method, of purchasing supplies for the various de
partments of the county, is cumbersome and otherwise objectionable.
We therefore, suggest and recommend that all purchases be made or
’TinnHiod through the office of the Commissioners by means of requisi
tions. Copies of- requisitions should be filed with the office, and at
tached to the respective invoices to which they relate. Only by this
are we P Wi> to obtain a satisfactory check on purchases.
All disbursements should be made by County Warrants through
the office ©f the Commissioners. This is true of Court Orders, Jliry
Script. Freight and Express, as well as other disbursements.
We recommend that settlement be made by the Tax Collectoi
at the end of each month, rather than at irregular intervals ae here-
tofore. L i
It will be noted that the County is carrying as good assets
.FTFas of previous years, as follows: ■
1916 1 $276.89
1917 214.87
1918 274.06
i . 1919 460.27
. I • 1920 779.60
- • 1921 i 1_ 917.46
$2,912.14 ,-t
We suggest that you consider the value of these assets and that
Uawir as may be determined worthless be charged off.
Attention is also called to the fact that a balance due by form
er County Treasurer Lavfie’d, of $84.66, has been continued on the
books for several -ears. This account should beclosed.
The account of J. J. McCants,*Tax Collector, shows a balance
due the county of $6,912.49.As against this debit balance, the Butler Bank
ing Company submitted 16 us statement showing a credit balance in
.the account of the Tax Collector Of $6,414.27; leaving a net balance un
accounted for of $498.22. As against this balance of $498-22 the Tax
Collector has a further credit by way of commissions secured on 1923
collections, which \re have not taken into account in this report. \
Respectfully submitted.

“Just before my . . . came

my arms, hands, head—my whole
body seemed to be in one awful
pain. I would grow so nervous
that I could not hold a cup in my

to hold my coffee for me to
drink. Last fall I was in such a
bad condition that I had to spend
about three days in bed every
month. It seemed to me that I
was on my last go-round.”
Then one day, said Mrs. Lam

Gardui and the experiences of
'some women who had been
helped by it. “I felt that Cardui
