GEORGIA TRUCK FARMS
IN GREATER DEMAND;
HUNDREDS ANSWER AD.
Atlanta, Aug. 26.—The howl of the
pessimists that Georgia farming
lands cannot be sold or rented are re
futed, by facts, when the trouble i:
taken to go into the subject. A rep'
resentative of one of the large insur
ance companies that has made ex
tensive loans on.Georgia farms with
in the past few years, stated a few
weeks ago that he had sold more than
half of the 260 farms taken over by
his company, and the re-sales were
made on best of terms, with substan
tial cash payments. A small adver
tisement of seven lines, telling of a
truck farm for rent, brought 281 re
plies, several of them from out of the
6tate.
Scouts of four of the nation's larg
est vegetable and fruit packing con
cerns have stated emphatically that
their, concerns wanted to establish
plants in Georgia, provided a volume
of products sufficient to, maintain
continuous operation could be secured,

that might be cited from inquiries
that are made at the State Depart
