REUNION THIS WEEK
Thoamston, Ga., Sept. 20.—-The
37th reunion of the Georgia Division,
United Confederate Veterans, will be
held at Thomaston Sept. 25 and 26
with some 200 veterans, sponsors and
relatives attending. '
Sessions will be held at the R. E.
Lee Auditorium. The Upson Chapter,
United Daughters of the Confederacy,
the city of Thomaston and Upson
county will be host to the reunion.
The veterans will be entertained by
the Kiwanis Club at a barbecue
Thursday afternoon, and later in the
day the American Legion Rost and its
auxiliary will serve supper to the
visitors.

ers grew out of the alleged crippled
condition of the Planters’ Bank of
Americus during May, 1928. During
that month the petition alleged L. G.
Council, president of the now defunct
bank, and C. M. Council, vice-ffresi-

A coroner’s mrv was empaneled and
an investigation held, the verdict be
ing to the effect that she had come to
her death by a blow with some blunt
and heavy instrument, the exact de
scription of which was unknown.
