The Taylor Mill ball team defeat ed the Reynolds team Thursday p m. on the Taylor Mill diamond. There were 128 present at Sunday school last Sunday. Welch will present her music pupils in a recital May 10 at 8 o’clock at the Mauk school building. LEAGUE NEWS A business meeting of the Weslej League was held Sunday night lowing a very inspiring program This meeting was held for the pur pose of electing officers. The following officers were elect ed: President, Miss Lois Heath; V- Pres., Miss Mary Suggs; Sect)’ Treas., Miss Allie Amos; Publicity Reporter, Miss Frances Willis. We appreciate the enthusiasm and splendid work that the old officer! have done, and sincerely hope tha: the new officials will be as en thusiastic as were the former ones. We have a very large attendan at the League every Sunday night and if you are not a member of our League we would be glad to have you .come and worship with us. A special program is being ranged for Sunday night, the da; set aside for Mother’s Day. We ex tend to the mothers of our com munity a special invitation to meet Mrs. Earl Neisler, Misses Bess and Janie Neisler were guests of Mrs. Brady at Oglethorpe Friday. The Fiddlres’ Convention A Fiddlers’ Convention was held at Crowell school on Friday night, May 5. The musicians were from Thomaston and the local C. C. C. Camp. Everyone seemed to have a delightful time. There was a very- large crowd in attendance. One of each group received a prize. We hope to have the musicians with us again soon.
