with friends and relatives in Ameri

Turners Chapel
winter’s snow,
Ami opened bosom to the falling
rain,
Do you enjoy the ripples, and the
flow
Of your cool home—where padded
leaves are lain?
How filled with awe, do your bright
i j's, so fair
Look towards the azure heaven’s
flush of dawn
Do you admire the way the blue
birds dare
To soar upward so high—all thru
he morn ?
O ball of white— receiving the soft
blush
Of twilight and of dawn each joy
ful da y
Are you amazed at the soft silver
hush
Of evening—midst its colorful ar
ray?
Sweet lily—your face folds, like but-
terfles,
And fills the song of birds with
joy and mirth.
But, graceful flower—some day your
charm dies,
Your fragile petals fair—all fall
■to earth.

Every town has the parking prob
lem. With the smaller towns this is
especially true on Saturday. Mer
chants and clerks and professional
men drive their cars up town and
park them in front of the business
places for the day. When the farm
ers and visitors from the other
towns come in to shop they are
forced to find a parking place wher
ever they can, sometimes being
quired to carry produce and gro
ceries a block or two to get them in
the car. Tn towns like this it would
be a nice courtesy to allow visitors
the parking space on Saturdays.

I
On Saturday, Alarch 1G, 1935 the '
death angel visited the home of Alr.t i
D. W. Covington and claimed their |
beloved husband and rather. We i
realize th. n t it is hard to give up our j
loved ones but we should feel as- |
sured that our loss is heaven’s eter- I
nal gain. We know that:
A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is still, i
A place is vacant in our home |
Which never can be filled. ;
But we pray God’s blessings upon
that home. May the guarding angel j
keep watch over it to shield, it .from, l
all evil, and protect the devoted com- I
panion and those two darling girls
that are left behind to mourn their
father’s passing.
