Jesus’ Continual Talk of Life
Jesus Christ himself was preemi

up his throne in glory and came to
earth and suffered death on the cross
that we might have life. Very likely
there are men today who are not in

Our Christ in Life
The purpose for which the passage
of John has given us is found in tne
10th verse, it gives the reason for
Christ’s advent into the world. He
came that we might have life and
have it more abundantly. In these
ten verses the Lord -tells us about
himself. He is the door of the sheep.
He came that we might have life he
is the good shepherd, he lays down
his life for the sheep. He knows his
own. He knows the father. He has
other sheep which he will bring to
gether, that all people may be one
flock and one shepherd. In calling us

richer for ourselves and for our as
sociates? One of the great troubles
with the world today is that it con
tains so many spiritual bankrupts.
Against this very condition was
Christ’s purpose in coming into the
world, that we might have life more
abundantly. The fullest and richest
life of which man- is capable is not s
possible without the grace, power I
ami- leadership of J-esus Christ. This ! I
fullness of life extends to every *
sphere of personal endeavor and per
sonality. Not only will we have n
fuller Christian life but a far more
abundant physical life. If wo shape
our lives according to the will ol
God. What then must we he on- tne
guard for at all times of life? It is
sin. One thing though that should be
a consolation to us is the fact th-at
when Christ comes into our life sin J
must go out. The two cannot occupy . £
te same place. . , I
To Speak Evil of [No Man I J

men is speaking evil of one another. | I

ings. A large pant of the evil things
said about people are not true. This
being the case the other part of the
talk should lie left unsaid. Many are
the times when great, harm is done
by leaving unsaid that which w-e
I should say, but far greater is that
| which we say. Many are the times
j that a man’s very life has been
| crushed, his prospects in life ruined,
his ambition taken away because
some one in a thoughtless moment
had said something evil of him. How-
we should watch our words for wo
may do irretrievable harm in a care
lessly spoken word. At the same time
we do not want to be contentious.
Acknowledgement of our sins vfli
leach us to endure with more meek
ness the provocation with which oth
ers may provoke us.
When God’s Kindness Appeared
When we speak of God's kind
ness it is a uirect leifercnce to Uic
incarnation of Jesus Christ. Gods
love tor the world was such that lie
sent his only begotten son into tne
world. Up until tne time of the Sav
iour’s advent into the world man
never new the full meaning of 1-ifo
in all its completeness. There’s not a
more wonderful truth in all the Bible
than tiie fact that God in heaven
loved sinners on earth. Why should
God have sent his son from his place
in glory to suffer among sinful man
had he not have loved us with an
undying love. In view of the great
love then we should be happy. Hap
py because we know that we can
bask in the sum-light of God’s- eternal
love.

Justiled
We often speak of justification. To
be justified- is to lie declared just,
and means that a sinner before the
throne of God is called just. This
condition was made possible by
Jesius placing his perfect life to out
account. By his grace God has de
clared us just. With this declaration
we have a hope of eternal life. Ho
gives and will never talce it away.
When- the life of God is noured into
the very soul of man he is born

life until at last he is in the very

How Christians Should Live
Good works is that w-hich does the
things that bring blessing® and com
fort' to others. This is strictly
though on a materialistic basis ana
should be measured as such. There is
another side though of the picture.
| Leading others out of darkness is
another work from the spiritual side
and- if we are to he a well rounded
Christian wo must practice each of
these works. Many are the times
that we have seen people that are
fond- of discussing religious subjects.
The thing about this is, does the
discussion make us better? If it docs
n-ot we had better refrain from them.
