REMINISCENCE Anniversary of the Eiectrocotion of LeonCzolgosz, the Fiend Who Shot President McKinley. Last Thursday—Oct. 28th—marked g) € thirty-sixth anniversary of the electrocution, at Aulburn, N. Y., of the fiend Leon F. C:gciigosz—pro nounced as if spelled “Choalgosh”— w ho shot and mortally wounded lieeident William McKinley at lJi.fr fnlo, N. Y., on Sept. 6, 1901 while the ’ President addressed a huge throng attending the Pan-American Reposition. The President breathed hie last early Saturday, Sept. 14tb an) :t was the third President of the United States to die by the assas sin's bullet. Ozojgosz was an anarchist of Pol ish dement and in the language of his country the name Czo'.ogoaz „ ea nR a snake. Following his elec trocution the Anarchisbs dub in txwdon celebrated' the occasion by (huicce honor of his “noble ioath." ’ he gatherings only difl eer sod at four o’clock in the morn ing after singing “Carmagnole”. All the meetings Imstly cheered every mention of Czolgosz, whose por trait draped in bl'aclk and red; occu pied the place of honor.
