United 1 Daughters of the Confederacy
will hold its May meeting on the
second day of June commemorating
the birthday of Jefferson Davis.
This will be the last meeting until

The commencement exercises of
the Reynolds colored high school
were held Thursday evening, May 19.
C. E. Andrews is principal, with Miss
Helen Parker, Mrs. A. C. Lockett,
Miss. Ruby Warren and Miss Vivian
Ware, as assistant teachers,
There were tea: graduates at this
commencement. The exercises were
very interesting. Prof. E. H. Joiner,
superintendent of the Reynolds
High school for the white, was prin
cipal speaker on this occasion.

Rhodendron Festival in Asheville,
June 12-19. She is a student at the
University of Georgia.
