Joe Bradley entertained with a Mis
cellaneous Shower at' the noma of
Miss Frances Wall Frida® afternoon,
in honor of Mrs. Bill Montgomery, of
Charing. The honorce received quite
a few handsome ;.nd useful gifts.
Games and contests were enjoyed for
awhile after which the hostesses
served dainty refreshments to about
twenty guests.

THE SENIORS’ACTIVITIES
IN ENGLISH WORK

The Seniors are now studying com
position, grammar, and rhetoric. Un
der composition we are studying nar
ration, description, exposition and
argumentation.
As outside work we are making a
study of Georgia authors. We are
requested to read a book by each
Harry Stillwell Edwards and Cor^a
Harris. Books that have been recam
mended by thee ate "Sons and Path
ers” and “The Circuit-rider's Wife.”
We all would like to read “'Gone
with the Wind” but on account of its
length we are unable to read it dur
ing the school term.
We have just finished a study of
Shakespeares play, Macbeth. It was
enjoyed very much by everyone.

Mrs Lizzie Williams, home room
teacher, has been absent this week
from school on account of illness.
Mrs. Jack Williams has been -teach
ing in her place.
Four of the Juniors got their class
rings Wednesday. The rest of the
Juniors are hoping theirs will be here
in a few days.

Armistice Day Observed
The American Legion Post of Rey
nolds observed Armistice Day with
their friends and the school children
Friday, Nov. 11. The program began
at 11 biclock. The Legionnaires sat
on the stage. Following, program

The girls of Reynolds High school
were fortunate to have Miss Smith
demonstrate to us the Singer Sewing
Machine. Last Wednesday morning
about 30 girls gathered in the Home
Economics Department anxious to
learn what Miss Smith was going to
tell and show us about the Singer
Sewing Machine.She showed us some
really'Interesting things, using both
electric and treadle machines. Some
of the things she showed us were:

a placket with bias binding, and how

attended this demonstration -because
it was very beneficial and interest

The girls were tickled to death to

OUR PICTURES
Our pictures came this week. They
all were very good. Most everyone of
us bought all eight of the' pictures.
They were cheap, 10c for eight of
them. They took Joy Standridge and
Miss Jelks before they got their
mouths shut. Louise WeldoP- had he*
mouth shut. We don’t know how
Carol Barrow looked but bet she was
funny. Albert Childres had his arm*
up in the air. He must have been
afraid.

VARIOUS GRADE ROOMS
As one goes by the First Grade
room they may 1 notice how quiet the
pupils are.
They are all at work, trying to
make good.
It was reported one day, as some
one walked in the room all the pu
pils were at work counting to a hun
dred by various methods.
In the Second Grade it seems that
the are working hard also.
The pupils seem to enjoy going to
school.
In the Third Grade all of them am
working hard.

Hooray! Yippee' Says the Juniors
or at least part of them. To be spe
cific there were' only four. That is,
only four Junior received their rings
this week. And the good thing about
it is that I'm one of them and an
other thing there were only four so
it didn't take ong to get them out of
hepoatoffice. I would tell you why,
only four came, but I don't know. ,
