Howard Charge Named for Next
Year at Conference.
Following a most intellectual and
spiritual sermon by Rev. G. N. Rai
ney, District Superintendent, and an •
elaborate basket dinner served by the
ladie3 of Howard community, the
Fourth Quarterly Conference for the
Butler-Howard charge, M. E. Church
was held Friday at the Howard
Methodist church, Rev. Rainey pre
siding.
Good reports were made for all
departments of the churches of the
charge and the conference was re
ported to be very satisfactory.
Next Wednesday Rev. F. J. Gil
bert, pastor of the Butler-Howard
charge, and Rev. J. D. Smith, Rey- '
nolds-Crowell charge, will leave for
Savannah wheie they will attend the
annual session South Georgia Con
ference which will be held at the
Wesley Monumental church from
Wednesday through the following
Sunday.
