regular Club meeting date.

Whereas, God took from us for a
whil our fellow-servant in the
Lord's work, Mrs. Sallie Anthony,
we the members of the Anthony-
barrow Circle of the Woman’s So
ciety of Christian Service of the
Reynolds Methodist church, wish
lo express our thankfulness for
her long life of Christian useful
ness and to extend our sympathy
lo her family.
Be It Resolved: That in the
death of Mrs. Anthony we have
sustained the loss of a friend
Wiiose faithfulness and religious
fellowship it was an honor and a
pleasure to enjoy; that we bear
willing testimony to her many
Virtues; to her unfailing and un
tiring diligence in the cause of re
ligion that has left a high stand
ard for emulation, to her and to
her unquestioned probity and
stainless life.
Be It Further Resolved: That a

Engagement Announced
Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Tusker of
Byron, announce the engagement
of their daughter, Jane, to Thom
as H. Cosey of Reynolds.
The marriage is to be solemn
ized when Mr. Cosey returns from
the South Pacific where he is serv
ing in the Merchant Marine aboard
the hospital ship Acadia. Mr. Co
sey has served in the Marines
since November of last year.
Miss Tucker received her high
school education in Byron while
Mr. Cosey attended Reynolds High
school.
The Willing Workers Club held
its regular monthly meeting Nov.
7th at the home of Mrs. J. C. Ful
ler.
The home was lovely with a
profusion of fall flowers.
Mrs. Fuller, our new president,
had charge of the meeting. She
thanked the officers in her effi
cient manner, for their past
year’s work. *
The secretary-treasurer, Mrs. C.
H. Horton, called the roll and col
lected dues.
Mrs. E. F. Parr and Miss Marie
Montgomery cleaned and decorat
ed the church this month. Rev.- and
Mrs. Leon Edwards were guests of
Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Byrd third
Sunday.

The hostess served delicious
cookies, toasted nuts and coffee to
ten members and four visitors. The
visitors were Mrs. Baron Fuller,
Mrs. J. B. Byrd, Mrs. Grady Fuller
and Mrs. Sam Bailey.
The next meeting will he held
at the home of Mrs. Walter Wain
wright Dec. 12, at 2:30 p. m. At
that time we will also have a
Christmas party.

seriously ill at the home of her

ly after the death of her hus
band.
