Sunday School Has Supper
The adults of the Taylor Mill
Baptist church entertained mem
bers of its class and visitors Satur
day night with a ham dinner at
the Taylor Mill school auditorium.
Mr. J.W. Windham, superintend
ent of the Sunday school, wel
comed all present. He also thank
ed the adults for the splendid
work they are doing in the Sun
day school.
Mrs. Lillie Mae Tomlin is teach
er of this class in the absence of
Mr. W. I. Jordan who has been
confined since suffering an acci
dent some weeks ago. Mr. Jordan
also appreciates the work the
class is doing. Ail adults who have
not joined this class have a spe
cial invitation to come each Sun
day at 10:30 a. m. Many more oc
casion similar to the one Satur
day night have been promised
during the summer season.
We were glad to have as visitors

MEDAL FOR DOG
SAVED ATLANTAN
Macon, April 2—Smokey, the dog
which saved his master from the
waters of Echoconee creek near
Macon last February, will be
awarded a gold medal by the Na
tional Humane Society at Macon
April 13.
Award will be made on the

Macon Chapter of the Society for
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
