The many friends of Dr. and
Mrs. F. H. Sams are glad to learn
marriage by her father, Eugene S.
Roberts.
Miss Jean Roberts, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor. She
wore an aqua net dress. Her cor
sage was of pink rosebuds. The
candles were lit by Priscilla Rob
erts, another sister of the bride.
She wore a dress of pink lace, and
a corsage of white gladoli. Ed
Goddard, of Reynolds, was best
man.
The wedding was performed be
fore an improvised altar of palms,
smilax and fern, interspersed with
white gladoli, flanked with cathe
dral candelabra. Mrs. Sherman
DeVoe played appropriate wedding
music during the ceremony, in
cluding the “Bridal Chorus” from
Lohengrin.
The bride’s mother, Mrs. Eugene
S. Roberts, wore a white eyelet
dress and a corsage of pink
gladioli. Mrs. Myrtle Jones, moth
er of the groom, wore a printed
blue crepe and a corsage of white
gladioli.
Following the ceremony, a re
ception was given by the bride’s
parents at their home. The bride’s
table was covered with a lace
cloth, and was decorated with
smilax, and white oleander blos
soms.
After a wedding trip to New Or
leans, the couple will make their
home in Reynolds, where the
groom is associated with the Pro
duction and Marketing Adminis
tration.

lred, to William Thurston Harrell,
the wedding having taken place in
Elastman on Saturday, July 13.
The bride’s mother is the form

and later attended Georgia State
Woman’s College in Valdosta.
The groom is the son of W. R.
Harrell and the late Mrs. Min
nie Lister Harrell of Eastman, and
is grandson of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. I
Harrell of Eastmon, and the late I
Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Lister of Ches- !
ter.
Mr. Harrell is a graduate ot ,
Eastman High school and before

Marriage Announced
Mrs. Susie P. Gaultney, of Rey
nolds. announces the marriage of
her daughter, Agnes Eleanor, to
John Herman Campbell, of Dalton,
which took place at the Method
ist Church in Jeffersonville, Satur
day evening, July 20, with the Rev.
Henry M. Johnson officiating.
Following the ceremony, Mr. and j
Mrs H. V. Jackson entertained the 1
couple with a wedding supper at 1
their home in Jeffersonville.
The bride was attired in white |
eyelet with matching accessories.!
Her corsage was of tuberoses and 1
carnations.
After graduating from the Rey
nolds High School, Mrs. Campbell
has held a position at Robins
Field. She has been an instructsr
there for returning veteran* since
Christmas.
Mr. Campbell graduated from
Dalton High School in 1941 and
entered the U. S. Air Corps short
ly afterwards. He served for 18
months with the Eighth Air force
in the European Theater of Oper-
ton Sunday.

Miss Connett is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Connett of
Greenville, Pa. She is a 1942 grad
uate of Penn High school, received
her Bachelor of Sacred Literature
degree from Chicago Evangelistic
Institute in tho class of 19-16- She
is now employed by the Publica-
tio Research Service in Chicago.
Mr. # McCrary, son of Mr. and
Mrs. G. G. McCrary of Reynolds,
is a graduate of Reynolds High
school in the class of 1940. He re
ceived a Bachelor of Sacred
Literature degree as well as a
diploma in speech from the
Chicago Evangelistic Institute in
the class of 1945.
The marriage will take place
August 15.

Mrs.
Foster Passes to Her Reward
Sunday, July, 21
Airs. J. W. Foster died at her
home in Junction City Sunday,
July 21. She had been in declining
health for several years and hei
passing away was not altogether
a surprise to her family and
friends.
Funeral services were held at
the Alauk Baptist church Tuesday
afternoon conducted by Rev.
Johnson and Rev. Whitley and in
terment was at Pine Level ceme
tery.
Air. and Airs. Foster had resided
in this community for many years
until a few months ago when they
moved to Junction City.
