“Gossip in a village is like a
viper in a bed.” i
He who writes about gossip of
a community never lacks for
news. The smaller the community i
the more people seem to gossip, i
The reason for that is because
everybody knows everybody’s,
business but let others attend to
their own business. The old feay- 1
ing: “Spend half of your time!
looking after your own affairs and
the other half of the time letting I
the other fellow’s business alone,”]
is a fine policy-

those who don’t mean to keep
them.” j
