by virtue of a pow’er of sale em
braced in a Security Deed in favor
of E. L. Wilson, signed by Paul

of securing an indebtedness of
Five Hundred Seventy-Three Dol
lars and Seventy Cents (§573.70)
and expenses of sale, together with
interest at the rate of eight per
cent (8 r /r) per annum on the
principal sum, to the date of sale;
said debt having become due and
remaining unpaid. Said land to be
sold as the property of Paul
Hicks. Deed will be made to the
purchaser by the undersigned as
attorney in fact for Paul Hicks.

Pursuant to the resolution of
the General Assembly of Georgia,
approved the 25th day of Febru- i
arv, 1949, known as a resolution I
“authorizing and directing that a j
referendum be submitted to the i
voters of Georgia on the question
of approval or disapproval of ad
ditional State financial support foi
education, rural Highways, public
health, public welfare services, aid
to counties and for other purposes;
for the approval or disapproval of
the levy of additional taxes lor the
support of such services’’, a special
election is hereby called to be held
on Tuesday, the 5th day of April,
1949, at the Taylor County court
house in the City of Butler, said
.state and county and at each es
tablished election precinct in said
County outside of said City.
At such spedial election there
shall be submitted to the voters oi
the County who are qualified to
vote for members of ttie General
Assembly as of February 1, 1949,
the question of whether or not ad
ditional taxes shall be levied by
action of the General Assembly
for the purpose of furnishing ad
ditional financial support for edu
cation, rural highways, public
health, public welfare services, aid
to counties and for other purposes.
Such election shall be held ac
cording to the rules and regula
tions governing elections for mem
bers of the General Assembly.
Those voting in this election
shall have printed on their ballots
the following words:
"Vote For One
( ) "l favor financing the con
tingent appropriations made
by the General Assembly foi
public health, education, aid
to counties, rural highways,
public welfare services and
fer other purposes, and I re
quest that the General As
sembly levy such additional
taxes as are necessary to
provide the funds.
( ) "I oppose financing tihe con
tingent appropriations made
by the General Assembly for
public health, education, aic
to counties, rural highways,
public welfare services ana
for other purposes, and 1
request that the General As
sembly do net levy udditicn-
nl taxes to provide the
funds.”
For receiving ballots in said
election on said date, the polls will
be opened at the hour of 7:00
o'clock A. M. and will be closed at
the hour of 6:00 o’clock P. M.
