Georgia Baptists Promote
10 Regional Conferences
Beginning This Week
The Georgia Baptist Convention
will promote regional conferences
in 10 strategic towns within the
next two weeks where the Baptist
program for the year will be out
lined to 3,000 pastors and church
leaders.
Dr. Jas. W. Merritt, executive
secretary of the convention, said
emphasis at the one-day con
ferences would be on evangelism,
stewardship, layman's work and
programs for the churches and
Baptist associations.
The schedule for the first week’s
conferences follows:
March 28, Davisboro; March 29,
Pembroke; March 30, Hazlehurst;
March 31, Baconton, and April 1,
j Hawkinsville.
Conferences will be held the sec
ond week on this schedule:
April 4, Jonesboro April 5, Man
chester; April 6, Greensboro; April
7, Adairsville, and April 8, Cleve
land.
In addition to Dr. Head and Dr.
Dowell, speakers for these meet
ings will be Dr. M. D. Moore, of
Nashville, associate evecutive sec
retary of the Southern Baptist con
vention; Dr. J. D. Grey, New Or
leans pastor and President of the
Louisiana Baptist Convention, and
Dr. M. T. Rankin, executive secre
tary of the Foreign Mission Board.

tors. New members admitted to
membership shall be entitled to
