Wallace and children attended the Moore family reunion at Stockbridge Sunday. Capt. Gray Fountain of Augusta was the week end guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Foun tain. Mr. and Mrs. Tom H. Hawkins attended the County Agent’s Dis trict meeting in Albany Wednes day. Rev. Leon Edwards, of Macon, commencement Sunday minister, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Adams. Other guests of the day included Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Montgomery. Mrs. Charlie Kemp and daugh ter. Mrs. Carl Bateman of Byron, were spend-the-day guests of Miss Marion West Sunday. Mrs. Kemp was before her marriage Miss Cha rlie Mulkey, at former citizen of Butler. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Beason and little son, Jimmy, of Marshallville and Mr. and Mrs. David Beason and little daughter, Judy of Bax ley were the Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Turk and Dr. and Mrs. Lewis Beason. Mr. and Mrs. Fred McAteer of Junction City, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Benns Sunday. But ler friends of Mr. and Mrs. Mc Ateer will regret to learn they are leaving this week for Reform, -Ala. to make their home. Dr. and Mrs. R. C. Montgomery and Patricia, are spending this week in Biloxi, Miss., where Dr. Montgomery is attending the Post Graduate Surgical Assembly of the Southeastern Surgical Congress in session at the Buena Vista Hotel in that city. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Gill included Dr. Clark Gill, of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Mimbs of Milledgeville; Dr. and Mrs. Julian Gill of Shellman; Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Jarrard and son of Clyattsville; Dr. Paul Gill of Ella- ville; Mr. and Mrs. Grady Long and daughter of Americus. Last Sunday Mrs. Homer 'C< was greeted with a surprise tha was perhaps never surpassed l any event in her entire life. Ernest Parker, pitcher for the lbcal team, gave up only a few hits; wj- Carl Hobbs, catcher, led the 21 score attack by scoring 7 hits out of 7 times at the plate.
