William A. Fickling,
Son of Reynolds Couple

It was indeed most gratifying to
all citizens of Taylor county, but
more especially those of Reynolds
where he was reared, when they
read the announcement in The Ma
con Telegraph Wednesday morning
of Mr. William A. Fickling, son of
Dr. and Mrs. Walker G. Fickling,
had on the previous day been
elected a Director of the Citizens
and Southern National Bank of Ma
con, the announcement being made
by Mr. T. L. Denmark, executive
vice president of the institution.
Further it was stated in the news
columns of the Telegraph:
‘‘Fickling, member of the firm of
Fickling and Walker, has been
identified with the business lite of
Macon for many years. He has been
active in the development of hous
ing projects and in the expansion
of the residential areas of the city.
“The new director has served as
president of the Macon Area of the
Chamber of Commerce and of the
Georgia State Fair Assiciation.”

into the Navy Air Force Friday and
left for Texas Saturday.

They have done some very good
work during this contest which end- j

The Taylor Mill Woman’s Club

Makes Dean's List

Constance Barrow, daughter of Mr.

DOWN DIES AT 102
San Francisco, Jan. 6—Mrs. Ma
tilda H. Perley was warned G2 years
ago by her doctor that she must
slow down and take life easy. She
died Friday at the age of 102.
