will sell at public outcry, before the
court house door of said county,
within the legal hours of sale, to
the highest and best bidder for cash
ion the first Tuesday in November,
11952, the following described lands

A tract of land in lot No. Two
(2) in Block No. Forty-Seven (47)
in the City of Reynolds, said State
and County, being 100 feet North
and South and 159 feet East and
West, and being all said lot except
a strip in the southern part there
of Fifty (50) feet North and South
and One Hundred Fifty Nine (159)
feet East and West, now or form
erly owned by Earl Dent.
The indebtedness secured by the
above described deed is past due
and unpaid. The proceeds of said
sale will be applied to the pay
ment of said debt and the costs of
this sale, the remainder, if any,
will be paid to the said J. D.

Prominent Georgians
Of State Will be Judges
In Power Co. Contest
Three prominent Georgians will
serve as Columbus division judges
in the 1952 Champion Home Town
Contest, it was announced by E. M.
Clapp, vice president and Colum
bus division manager of the Geor
gia Power Co. The judging will
take place between October 22
and November 7.
Judge s who will study the re
ports of progress submitted by the
towns in the area compiising the
Columbus division of the company
are: Dr. W. G. Henry, president of
LaGrange College, LaGrange; G. N.
; Atkinson, president of Norman
Junior College, Norman Park; and ]
'Alvah Chapman, Sr., president of
I the Ledger-Enquirer Co., Columbus,
j Dr. Henry will serve as chairman
of the panel of judges. This is the
third year that he has participated
in the activity, serving as chairman
of hte group last year.
! State judging will take place in
[Atlanta during the week of Nov.
10 and state winners will be an
nounced on Nov. 20.
