In Memory of My Dear Mother,
Mrs. Nancy Windham
In the graveyard softly sleeping
Where the flowers gently wave,
Lies of the body of my mother,
In a lonely silent grave.
You shall never be forgotten

’Round your silent, lonely grave.
Peaceful be your sleep, dear mother
It is sweet to breathe your name
In life we loved you dearly,
And in death we do the same.
We loved her, yes, we loved her
But Jesus loved her more
He has sweetly carried her
To yonder shining shore.
Thou art gone, our darling mother,
Never more we’ll see your face,
But we’ll meet you over yondsr,
In that happy resting place.
The golden gates were wide,
A gentle voice said “Come”,
The angels from the other side
Welcomed darling mother home.
