Mrs. Eugene H. Joiner
Late in the evening, Sunday,
July 28th, Mrs. Sara Theresa Harp
Joiner passed from this life to her
eternal reward at her home in
Reynolds.
To those who knew her best, it
seemed that a sweet song had sud
denly been hushed, a lovely poem
not finished, a beautiful picture
shaded.
Her personality was always
bright and cheerful, her wit and
humor refreshing, her faith in God
kept her pure. How little we real
ized a life so full of promise was
emerging into immortality.
| Mrs. Joiner was a devoted mem-
1 ber of the Reynolds Methodist
! Church, held offices in the Worn-
! an’s Society of Christian Service
and the Dorcas Class. She was not
■ only diligent in church work, but
1 she was community minded and
held offices in the civic organiza-
; tions.
j Her faithfulness, gentleness, un
selfishness, and devotion to her
•family and friends will be indelibly
impressed on the lives of all who
'knew and loved her.
!
, God saw a road was getting rough
The hills were hard to climb
He Gently closed the weary eyes,
And whispered, “Peace be thine.”
A place is vacant, but her spirit
will remain as an incentive to
carry on.
Therefore be it resolved:
1. That we humbly submit to the
will of God.
2. That we try to follow her ex
ample of faith, loytlay, courage and
love .
3. That we extend our deepest
love and sympathy to her family.
4. That copies of this resolution
be placed in the minutes of the
Woman’s Society of Christian Serv-
ice, sent to the local paper, and
that a copy be sent to the family.
Respectfully submitted,
Mrs. R. L. Swearingeh
Mrs. H. K. Sealy
