Thanksgiving dinner—were injured
in a three-vehicle crash here
Thursday, the State Patrol said.
Two of the vehicles—a pickup
truck and a station wagon—were
driven by a father and son who
were moving to Atlanta, reported
Trooper Calvin Ozburn. The third
vehicle—a sedan—contained six
members of a family en route to
Madison for a reunion.
Trooper Ozburn said the crash
occurred like this: A pickup truck
driven by Woodson L. Cox of HuT-
bert, Mich., traveling west “at a
high rate of speed” on U. S. 278
in the Conyers city limits skidded
head-on into the east bound sedan
when Cox jammed on the brakes
to avoid ramming the rear of a
moving van that had slowed down.
Cox’s pickup truck was then hit
in the rear by a station wagon
driven by his son, Woodson Cox
Jr., 18.

ATLANTA—The Waycross Jour

had this to say editorially: l
“The announcement that the way

■ people of Southeast Georgia.
"Selection of Waycross as the
; site for the station was in itself.
ja tribute to our community and its
progressive outlook on education.
I “Actually the station, which ! Sj
: Gov. Vandiver says will be in ope-

school year, will be the first to be
built and operated exclusively by
the State Board of Education.
I “At present the education depart

state is the station operated by the
Atlanta Board of Education."
