Washington, D. C. — Republican
National Cchairman W. E. Miller
describes ‘‘a Rockefeller - Gold-
water ticket or vice versa” as a
possibility for the GOP in 1964.
Miller’s mention of Gov. Rocke
feller of New York with Sen. Gold-
water of Arizona linked up opposite
poles in the Republican Party.
At the same time, Sen. J. K. Ja-
vites, R-N. Y., called the idea a
“hybrid” and a “ticket of political
convenience” which he honed
would not develop.
Miller, upstate New York con
J gressman elected party chairman
Friday, was interviewed bv Sen
K. P. Keating, R-N.Y., on Keatings
program recorded for New York
radio and TV stations.
To a question on whether the
conservative Goldwater had a
chance for the 1964 nomination
Miller replied:
! “Sen. Goldwater would be a ma
jor contender. You might even
have a Rockefeller-Goldwater tick
et or vice versa.”

tor for a check up, it is reported.
We need so urgently a general
county chairman for this county.
It is a shame that we failed to
