1961 Term to Begin

Mr. Mack Marchman, principal
of Butler High School, reports to
the Herald that a new Vocational
Agriculture teacher, Mr. Johnny Da
vis has heen selected to replace
Mr. Harold Ragan, who recently re
signed to accept a similar position
in the Dawson High School, Ter
rell County.
Mr. Davis assumed his duties as
teacher in the Butler school July
3. He comes to Taylor County from
the Schley County School system.
Butler extends a cordial welcome
to Mr. Davis, his wife and three
children.

It appearing that said petition is
within the intent and purview of
the laws of the State of Georgia,
applicable thereto and that all of
the laws have been complied with,
including the presentation of a cer
tor, at which time, and not before,
work may be started.
Contract executed pursuant to
this Notice is binding on the Geor
gia Rural Roads Authority as such.
Said contract will not create lia
bility, expressed or implied, against
the undersigned Chairman of the
Georgia Rural Roads Authority as
an individual, nor against any
employee of the Georgia Rural
Roads Authority in his or her in

the low bidder will be cashed and
all other checks will be returned
as soon as the contract is awarded
unless it is deemed advisable by
the Authority to hold one or more
checks. If an unusual condition
arises, the Authority reserves the
right to cash all checks. Bidders

A charge of $5.00 will be made
for each proposal issued.

Contracts will not be awarded to

each item and total of bid. Right is
reserved to delay the award of the
contract for a period of not to ex
ceed thirty (30) days from the date
of opening bids, during which per
iod bids shall remain open and not
subject to withdrawal. Right is re
served to reject any and all bids
and to waive all foramilties.
Upon compliance with the re
quirements of the standard speci
fications, ninety (90) per cent of
the amount of work in any calen
dar month will be paid for by the
25th day of the succeeding month,
and the remainder within thirty
(30) days after fiscal estimate is
approved by the Engineer.
