TUB 1CTLHR HERALD,
10-Man Road Board
Bill Goat to Sonata
Atlanta, Ga. — Senate President
Pro Tem Carl Sanders of Augusta
lias ofered his awaited legislation
to reorganize the State Highway
Board and went to work on getting
support for the proposal that no
body else seems to think can pass.
The senator is a potential candi
date for lieutenant governor or
even governor. He proposed a con
stitutional amendment for a 10-man
highway board to replace the pres
ent three-member board.
While Sen. Sanders was talking
up the idea, Gov. Ernest Vandiver
was saying at a news conference
that he is pleased with the present
setup.
He said the 10-man board has
been tried before but the state al
ways went back to the three-man
plan.
One thing the Ga. Senate was do
ing Monday, on a very unspectacu
lar day, was meeting with the
House to re-elect State Highway
Board Chairman Jim Gillis for six
years.
But said Sen. Sanders: “We’re go
ing thru a farce today. He won’t
be in that office six minutes after
this administration, much less six
year, if the man be supports for
governor doesn't win.”

YOUR HEALTH
People often ask me, can you help stomach
trouble, do treat Asthma, what do you do for
Arthritis? We have treated combinations and
variations of all these conditions over the
past several years. Our type of treatment is
different from what the patient has had be
fore. One case I remember was a lady who
suffered with a nervous stomach. Her case
had become progressively worse over the years
and had reached the point where her medi
cation gave no relief. After an examination
we explained that even if doctors could install a new stomach,
she would still have stomach trouble. The reason for this con
dition was that the nerves that control the stomach action had
been pinched due to distortion in her spine. After a few treat
ments the pinching of the nerves was corrected. The patient
was relieved of the indigestion and burning sensation in the
stomach. To her surprise she could even eat such foods as corn
bread which her stomach had not been able to handle before.
To this patient and others like her, the results were a
miracle, but it can be explained. You see during the first 30
years of her life, she enjoyed normal stomach function. Then
something happened to create the pinching of the stomach
nerves. In other words, the life force that controls and regulates
the stomach were reduced to the extent that the stomach could
not function properly. By correcting the pinching of the stomach
nerves we restored the same life force that gave her normal
stomach function for 30 years before her condition developed.
There are people in all walks of life who suffer from spinal
distortions that create conditions such as this. By correcting
these spinal distortions we strike at the fundamental cause.
When correction is made, pain is relieved, normal function
restored, YOUR HEALTH in general is improved.
