Mrs. Ray Nystrom of Bethlehem, Pa., Miss Dathine Brunson of Wash ington, D. C., and Mr. Gene Brun son of Athens were in Reynolds last week. Miss Nancy Randolph and Mr. Townshend Loga of Atlanta were week end guests of Mrs. Virginia Boger and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hin ton. Mrs. Susie Woods, Mrs. E. T. Shealy and Mrs. Dan Fountain vis ited Mr. Dan Fountain last Satur day, who is a patient in the Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany. Mrs. Virginia Boger, Miss Marion Newsom and Mrs. Winifred Harrell were dinner guests Saturday eve ning of Misses Estelle Walton and Nell Hardeman in Ft. Valley. Schedule for renewing Auto mobile Drivers Licenses in Taylor County is published herewith: Butler Tuesday, February 13 Tuesday, February 20. j Wednesday, February 28. | Wednesday, March 7 Tuesday. March 20 , Wednesday, March 28. Reynolds Wednesday, February 7. Wednesday, March 14 Tests to get new driver’s licenses will be given by the State Tropers in Butler on February 20th and on March 20th. All licenses, operators, chauffeurs and learners expiring on March 31, shall be renewed to expire cn the license’s birthdate during next provided said licensee desires a one year license. In the event the li censee request a five year license, said license will be issued to expire on the licensee’s birthdate during the year 1967. All original one year operators, chauffeurs and learners licenses issued after Jan. 1, 1962 and prior to Jan. 1, 1963, shall be issued to expire on the licensee’s birthdate in the year 1963. 1 All original five year operator or | chauffeur licenses issued after Jan. 1, 1962, and prior to Jan. 1, 1963, shall be issued to expire on the li censee’s birthdate in the year 1967. I All original one year operators, chauffeurs and learners licenses is sued on and after Jan. 1, 1963, shall be issued to expire on the licensee’s next following birthdate. Provided, however, that no license shall be issued for a period of less thnn 90 days. All original five year operator or chauffeur licenses issued on and after Jan. 1, 1963, shall be issued to expire on the licensee’s birthdate in the fifth year after the year of such issuance. All subsequent renewals shall be issued to expire on the licensee’s birthdate during the year so desig nated by the license, (one or five years). i All licenses except five year ones must be renewed by March 31st ithis year according to local of ficials. T. | Bankston’s resignation as Third 'Vice President and Recorder of j Crosses was read and the Corre- sopnding Secretary was asked to write Mrs. Bankston, thanking her for the excellent work she had done in these offices. Mrs. C. H. Neisler reported that a general index of geneology was being completed to be placed at Rhodes Memorial in Atlanta to be used by anyone interested. It is thought that this will be of help to anyone seeking information for the completion of UDC application papers. Mrs. Neisler and Mrs. Tankersley reported having attended the Ex ecutive Board Meet in Atlanta Jan. 18th. Mrs. Neisler who is District Chairman asked that everyone who could do so attend District Meet | in Perry at 10:00 a. m., Feb. 14th. She presented to the Chapter type written copies of a letter from Capt. John Wright, written during the War Between the States. J After singing “Dixie”, accompa nied by Mrs. Paul Hodges, the pro gram chairman, Mrs. J. G. Hicks gave an interesting talk on the post war struggle of the South, recognized the birthdays which are always observed in January, viz.: Lee. Jackson and Murray; closing I with thoughts on the beginning of a new year. Mrs. Hodges, a talented pianist, played several selections on the pi ano. The hostess, assisted by Mrs. Hodges, Mrs. Virginia B oger and Mrs. F. M. Carson, served coconut pie, coffee and nuts. Rev.-Mrs. Walker Visited Reynolds Methodist Church In August, 1959 the Reynolds Methodist church assumed a small portion of support of a Missionary couple, who with their four children were serving in the Congo. Rev. and Mrs. David Walker taught in Wembe Nyama, Belgian Congo, Africa until forced to leave due to the uprising after Independence Day. This family is now on leave and spending some time In Georgia. They visited the Reynolds Metho dist church Sunday for both the morning and evening services.
