In Memoriam Written in loving memory of a dear loved-one, Grady Rogers. Eight lonely months have passed Since I saw your smilig face, This house has lost its master, And a sad house it is. It listens for his footsteps, But never is it heard. By night and day windows watch In vain for his return. The empty chair at the table For a vanished form is yearning Thfe downy cushion on the couch, Smooth pillows on his bed Seem waiting for his touch, The contour of his head The very walls are waiting, For a voice they used to know. But the easy chair sits vacant And unused is the radio. There’s only a woman’s weeping, And the sound of winter rain For the master’s gone far away And will not come again. Written by his wife, Lokie Rogers. Eureka High News LEGAL SALE Note: Due to the fact that this school news came in late we were unable to publish all material sub mitted for publication.
