Facts to Remember When Selecting Fabrics Reynolds High Honor Roll Since Spring is here, sewing is starting and here are some things to remember in deciding on fabrics and trims. Check information on back of pattern. Some designs call for soft easily draped fabric and some for more body that holds creases. If a dress is made of a soft sheer when the pattern needs a firmer material, the collar may be too heavy or skirt sag. Choose a becoming color that fits into your wardrobe. Bulky textures have a tendency to make one appear larger as well as shiny ones. Trims and buttons give garment individual touch while thread is best matched a shade darker than material.
