Mrs. Willie Ricks returned Friday from a month’s visit to her children in Miami, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Sawyer of Macon spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Sawyer. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Saunders were keek end guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Saunders. Mr. and Mrs. Bernice Hill visited Mrs. Ida Jake Hill at Emory hos pital in Atlanta, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Oliver and daughter, Libby, spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. Bernice Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Samms Jr., of Augusta spent the week end with Dr. and Mrs. F. H. Samms. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Cosey and Beth have returned after several weeks’ stay at Cape Canaveral, Fla. Miss Jane Windham who has been attending college a t Emory University, Atlanta, returned home Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Windham of Knoxville, Tenn., visited their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Windham last week. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Saunders and Mrs. W. D. Saunders spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. El bert Hill in Macon. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Windham, Jerry and Mr. and Mrs. U. S. Under wood attended the baseball game in Macon Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Walley Prater of Philadelphia, and Miss Norma Pra ter, of Montgomery, Ala., are visit ing Mr. and Mrs. Billy Hill. Mrs. Martha Roberson of Ma con and Mrs. Mikey Paulk attend ed the wedding of Mrs. Paulk’s niece in Panama City, Fla. Mrs. Rochelle Kilgore of South Lancaster, Mass., visited Miss Bess Bryan, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Hicks and Mrs. Nell Lucas, recently. Ginger Goodroe left Atlanta by plane Sunday for Nashville, Tenn. where she will spend two weeks with her cousin, Gay Goodroe. The many friends of Lieutenant Governor Garland Byrd will be de lighted to learn that he has been dismissed from a Macon hospital. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Young are their children, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Foley and little daugh ters, Anne and Cathy of Worcester, Mass. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Culpepper of Clinton, La., and 2nd Lt. George Culpepper of Fort Campbell, Ky., visited Rev. and Mrs. Culpepper last week. Dr. and Mrs. Edward Hicks will spend a week visiting relatives in Reynolds before moving to Savan nah where Dr. Hicks has accept ed a position. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wilson of Ft. Valley attended services at the Methodist church Sunday and were dinner guests of Rev. and Mrs. Virgil Culpepper. Dr. and Mrs. H. S. Brooks of Way- cross were recent guests of Rev. and Mrs. Virgil Culpepper. Dr. Brooks is District Superintendent of the Waycross District. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Willis, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Waller and sons Mike and Tim, attended church worship at the First Baptist church, Fort Valley, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Breazealle, Miss Eva B. Griffith and Mrs. E.M. •Crawford spent Saturday in Co lumbus with Mr. and Mrs. J. L. McCown and family. Mr. Edward Hollis, Mrs. E. A. Hollis and Mrs. Gussie Royeton spent several days recently in Mon- ticello, Fla. On their return trip they visited friends in Thomasville. Attend Graduation Mr. and Mrs. Wade Lane and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hicks attended the graduating exercises of Dr. Edward Hicks at the University of Georgia Athens, Saturday.
