Gill spet Sunday at Shelman the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Gill and children. Miss Linda Holland of Pelham is visiting Mrs. W. F. Trawick and Mrs. Edmondson this week. Miss Edith Fountain of Milledge- ville was the guest of friends and relatives here last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bateman of Macon were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Benns Sr., last Friday. Mr. Cecil Griggs of Atlanta, John Childs left Sunday for Au burn University where he will be a student. Errol Burdeshaw, John Locke, 1 Dudley Eubanks are attending GSC in Americus. Mr. and Mrs. Childs and little son of Rome, Ga., were the week end guests of their mother, Mrs. Lew A. Harmon. Messrs Buddy Hobbs, Gary Wind ham and Steve Bazemore left (to day) Thursday for Young Harris College where they will attend school this summer. Mrs. Billy Amos presided over the business session. Miss Louise Hill, program chairman, presented Mrs. Richard Parks of Reynolds, who gave a talk on interesting and unusual flower containers. A num ber of containers were displayed and discussed. The hostesses, Mrs. John Turk, Mrs. Bertha Bazemore and Mrs. Lewis Beason served a sweet course to members and guests. Postmaster in Hospital Friends regret to learn that Mr. Carl Hobbs is a patient at the Ma con hospital. His room is No. 607. His host of friends hope for the genial postmaster an early and complete recovery. Birth Announcement Mrs. James Lail announces the birth of a daughter on May 31st at the Sams hospital. She is to be called Cynthia Jean. Cemetery Notice The regular annual cleaning of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church cemetery has been changed to June 26th. All who have relatives and friends buried here, or anyone in terested in the cemetery are re quested to come and bring tools to do this work. Come early in order to finish with the work before it gets so hot.
