Dear Voters
of Taylor County
Please permit me to remind you of the Bond Election to be
held July 25, 1962. This Bond Election is to construct a Gym
nasium at Eureka High School which is very much needed.
The Physical Educational Program is a vital phase of any
school program. A Gymnasium is a “must” to carry out a sound
program.
The faculty, students, and colored citizens of Taylor Coun
ty are proud of our school, and the interest being taken on the
part of County School Superintendent, Mr. W. H. Elliston and
members of our County Board of Education in giving their full
support in favor of this most needed building.
It has been learned that County Taxes will NOT be in
creased at all, if this Bond Issue is passed.
I would like to point out that Eureka High is about the only
High School in this area of the State without a Gymnasium.
So please go to the polls on July 25, 1962, and cast your
vote IN FAVOR of the Bond Issue to construct a Gymnasium
for Eureka High School, serving the colored youth of Taylor
County.
Respectfully submitted,
CHARLIE A. HICKS, f
Principal,
EUREKA HIGH SCHOOL.
