Aunt Pleasant, an aged negro woman,
died at the residence of Rer.T. A. Harris

I notice that, in Augusta and elsewhere
in the State and South, the survivors of
the Southern Confederacy are forming
Confederate Survivors’ Associations.
Their “ object is the laudable one of
bringing into closer union, while living,
the ex-soldiers of the ‘ Lost Cause,*" re¬
siding in the communities of which they
are fouud, of paying proper respect to
their memories where they die, and for
famishing truthful material to the fu¬
ture historian in making up a correct
record of our cause and struggles. Can
we not form such an organization here?
