The Anglo Haxou, with accounts from the
United States to July 18tb, had reached Liv
erpool, and (as our telegraph dispatches read)
caused an advance of 3-8ths in the Mobile
cottons. The following are the cotton quota
tions furnished by the news by the Canada.

All the vessels engaged in laying the sub.-
marire telegraph cable were in Cork on the
1st of August, and expected to leave on that
day for Valentis, where the cable will connect
with the main land. Experiments through
the whole telegraph cable have proved highly
successful.

The special agent sent to Minnesota re
ports to the Interior Department, in a letter

territory. He saya that great alarm prevails
among the froutier settlers, who are daily
deserting their improvements and leaving
tho territory; but he thinks that the arrival
