Da. 0. O. Woodman, New Orleans;
My Dear Sir:—In justice to you and a duty
I owe to a suffering, and, I may say, a world of
coughing people, I st«tc what your invaluable
Cough Remedy—your CHERRY EXPEC
TORANT—has done for me, when all other
remedies have failed lo give any relief. In the
fall of 1817, living in St. Louis, where I have
tesided most of the time for the last sixteen
years, I took a severe cold, which settled on my
lungs, and was confined lo my bed, and dosed
and bftstered by doctors for several weeks, but
finally got on my legs again, but not cured of
nty hard coughing, and rattling and tickling iu
my throat, which continued ir:o: saintly for
more than six months, alwaystte * , onrt in the
winter. My friends insisted 1 had coughed
enough to kill a dozen coinmen men, and that
I must be in the last stage of consumption. I
made up my mind that I must eocgj my life
away. I left St. Louis in December last, to
travel and spend the winter ia kha South.—
